The Delivery

Before we deliver your Taxibox, you will have to determine the location of where you want the Taxibox. This can be anywhere you want, for example on your driveway.

In order to determine if the Taxibox will fit, evaluate if there is enough space for an average car at your chosen location. If there is sufficient room, then there will be no problems dropping off the Taxibox.

Another thing to take into consideration before you determine the location is your own convenience. What location would be easiest for you to load or unload? Or what location would be best to keep my storage unit for an undetermined amount of time?

Loading the Box

Once we have delivered your Taxibox, you can start loading up your items. For this process you get as much time as you need. Only when you are ready will we pick up the Taxibox again.

We do offer some additional services to customers who cannot load their Taxibox themselves. Taxibox works with specialised removalist companies all across Australia, including Man with a Van (Melbourne), Platinum Removals (Sydney) and Your Local Movers (Brisbane).

In order to take advantage of one of these removalist companies, please call the removalist company for your area. Once you have done this, notify Taxibox that you will use removalists.

For safety reasons, there are a number of items that cannot be loaded in your Taxibox. This includes flammables, hazardous goods, firearms, munition, explosives, toxins, polluted goods, contaminated goods, foods, perishables, illegal goods and waste. Customers who are unsure about a certain item can always give us a call for more information.

Transporting Your Items

As soon as you have stored your items, and you want to keep your Taxibox in our storage facility, our team of professionals will come to pick up your Taxibox.

Taxibox guarantees that your items will be safe during transport, however, there are some things you can do to ensure that your items do not shift.

Place all the heavier items at the bottom of your Taxibox and make sure you fill up as much empty space as you can. The fuller the Taxibox, the less chance of items shifting during the drive to the storage facility. We also recommend using the proper packing supplies, including bubble wrap and moving blankets. Proper packing supplies will ensure that some of the more fragile items remain unharmed.

Your Taxibox will also remain flat during the entire journey. By not tilting the storage unit, we can keep your items safer. Taxibox also offers additional insurance options for people who want extra protection for their items. Some insurance agents cover stored goods, but this is not the case for every insurance agent. In order to make sure if you have coverage, check your basic insurance policy. If you are not covered, please call one of our representatives so that we can arrange some insurance for you. Taxibox insurance is considerably cheaper than getting a new insurance policy, since we can arrange extra insurance for you for as little as $25 per month. Not everyone gets insurance for their stored goods, since incidents with Taxiboxes are extremely rare. However, we do advise getting insurance for total peace of mind.
