It’s a common question. With an ever increasing range of options when it comes to choosing a self storage facility these days, it can be confusing trying to decide which is best suited to look after your belongings.

Perhaps the best place to start?

If you’re new to self-storage and really have no idea who is reputable in the industry, then have a look at what others have to say about the facility you’re considering. Let’s face it, these days people won’t hesitate to leave negative feedback if their experience hasn’t been up to scratch. It’s in the best interest of any storage facility worth its salt to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for its customers. Websites such as Trustpilot, Productreview, or Facebook reviews are a great place to browse through reviews and feedback left by previous customers. Even a company’s Facebook page can be a font of information!

  1. Access Times

How often, and at what time of the day or night do you need to access your storage?

Many facilities offer 7 day, 24 hour access but this 24 hour access and this can be handy for some but it can also have its drawbacks with security and undesirable types. You may also be travelling overseas for a year or two, or renovating a house, so all you want is a clean and secure storage facility for your household belongings without the need to access in the middle of the night. You may also want the facility to be manned at all times.

At TAXIBOX Self Storage in Mordialloc, or one of our mobiles self-storage facilties, all of our storage units are located in a secure warehouse, which is locked and alarmed overnight with 24 hour security camera coverage. We are open 7 days a week for convenience, and you are free to access your storage any time between 8.30am and 5.30pm Mon – Fri, 9am to 2pm Sat and 9am to 12pm Sun. Be assured that any time our storage facility is open, our friendly staff are on hand to assist you. Which leads us to…

  1. Security

No matter what you are storing, you want to be certain that it is being kept safe and sound.

A sure indicator of the quality of a storage facility is how seriously they take the security of the goods they are storing. Do they provide individual lock-up units? Can you be sure that nobody else can access your goods? Are the storage units solid and well sealed from one another? TAXIBOX Self Storage provides individual lock-up storage units, each with its own steel roller shutter or swing door, secured by your own padlock. Our units are sealed on all sides, including the top, and have a cement floor. The self storage units are located within a warehouse which is itself locked and alarmed outside of open hours. On top of that, security cameras monitor and record inside and out 24 hours a day.
