Whether you’re an existing customer, or a soon to be one, below are some pointers on the A to Z of Local Storage.
How do I get into my storage unit?
Click the button on your padlock to wake it up and then tap the unit number that appears in your app in the ‘Find and Unlock’ screen. For a full guide as to how access works click here.
Can I pay online?
You bet. Just log into your account here, head to the billing tab, and you can update your card or pay off any outstanding invoices in a few clicks.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards—Visa, Mastercard and even AMEX. Add your card when you book, and we’ll handle the rest with automatic monthly payments. No paper bills, no dramas.
How can I update or change my billing or profile information?
Simple. Log in here, hit the billing tab, and update your payment info or contact details whenever you need. No need to call unless you’d like to. Your account, your rules.
How do I arrange my move out?
Just give us a heads-up at least 14 days before you plan to move out—email’s the way to go. When you’ve cleared out your TAXIBOX, send us a quick photo of the empty unit so we can officially wrap things up and stop charging your card.
Oh, and don’t forget to lock up with your Bluetooth padlock before you leave. Any Bluetooth padlocks that go walkabouts will be charged back to the owners account at cost (which we try to avoid).
I'm not sure how much space I need. Can you help?
Use our, dare we say it ‘fun’ size estimator here to get a quick sense of what’ll fit your stuff. Or give us a call and we can walk you through it. And if things change? No worries—you can always upsize or downsize later.

Is there anything I can’t store?
“Prohibited Goods” in your storage agreement includes goods that are hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, flammable, explosive, environmentally harmful, perishable, living, or that can pose a risk to
any person or property, item containing a lithium-ion battery. If unsure, please ask.
What happens if I have rubbish?
Don’t be THAT person. We kindly ask that you remove any from our sites when you leave. That includes inside your unit at checkout.
Is there anything I need to be aware of when on site?
Please ensure you drive at 10km/h or less when moving through the facility as other people may be on site and follow all signs. Smoking and animals are not permitted onsite unless it’s a service animal, or a really cute golden retriever (kidding on the last part).
Do you offer discounts for prepaying?
Yep, sure do. Pay upfront and you’ll score 7.5% off for 6 months or 15% off for 12 months. Bonus: it also locks in your rate, so no sneaky price jumps later. Winning!
What happens if I stop paying for my account?
Missed payments mean access to site and your unit gets paused and late fees kick in. Keep in mind, if payments stay overdue, we may have to sell or dispose of your stuff under the terms of your storage agreement. We genuinely want to avoid this so best to communicate. If we can help, we’ll certainly do our best.
