As an industry, self-storage is pretty tame; there’s no risk of life or death. The likelihood of anything going wrong is extremely unlikely, but if you’re looking for some extra reassurance, you can always get your stuff insured.
Just like regular self-storage, it’s your responsibility as a TAXIBOX customer to get your stuff insured yourself. Your home and contents insurance policy may already cover the stuff you have in storage with us; typically, to get started, you should notify your insurers that you’re moving your insured stuff into storage.
If you experience issues here – i.e. your insurer isn’t willing to cover your belongings while they’re in storage –TAXIBOX can arrange insurance for you*. You can find all our current insurance coverage rates here.
Keep in mind that your goods are not covered for transit damages (under the Customer Storage Insurance Benefits policy). If you’re looking to insure your items on the go, you’ll need to take out your own transit insurance.
You can find all the required technical information and everything else you need to know to add insurance to your booking here.
*… and here’s more fun if you love reading about insurance:

If a dispute arises in relation to this insurance, AON’s dispute resolution system is available.
