More Convenient and Cost-Efficient
The majority of people tend to choose our Melbourne storage solution because it is more convenient and cost-effective than the traditional storage solutions. Not having to drive is definitely one of the biggest advantages for clients. Also having the Melbourne storage unit so close near the home or office is definitely beneficial for many people.
However, one of the biggest advantages of our mobile Melbourne self-storage unit is the cost-effectiveness. Our Melbourne self-storage unit is being offered for the best price in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. For that very reason, many people turn to Taxibox mobile storage.
Perfect for Students
Many people who take advantage of the Taxibox are students. This has much to do with the nearby Monash University. Having the lowest storage prices in the area is certainly attractive for many students who already are on a very tight budget.
Strong Storage Solution
The Taxibox is not only convenient and cost-effective, but also very strong and durable. Our mobile storage unit is made from a strong wood composite, which can breathe a lot more than the average stainless steel container. The wooden Taxibox is also less susceptible to common damages, including mildew.
Our Taxibox is especially made to transport furniture and other personal belongings. Wood is also a stable material for transport, so this is another reason why this material was used for our Taxibox.
Of course, we also needed to provide some extra protection for the Taxiboxes that are not kept in our storage facility. Our biggest concern was the effect of rain and other harmful elements on the Taxibox and the belongings stored in it. For that reason, we added an extra protective layer on the Taxibox. Because of this extra layer, the Taxibox can be held outside for a great period of time and without damaging the items within.
Security is also an issue for people who keep the Taxibox near their home or office. We have added a sturdy lock on the Taxibox, so that the storage unit can be locked at any time and also be fully protected against theft.
As Seen in the Media
The benefits of Taxibox were not only felt by customers, but the media as well. Our Taxibox was featured in a number of media platforms, including 7 News, the Herald Sun and radio station 3AW 693 News Talk.
These media platforms all saw the many benefits that our mobile storage solution could provide. The majority of them were quite impressed with the convenience of our storage solution, especially since there is such a lack of room in cities nowadays and the fact that it is really difficult to find a storage facility that suits you.

Caulfield fun facts
TAXIBOX Self-Storage is located near Caulfield, a suburb only 12km South East of Melbourne’s CBD. Small in size, with a population of less than 6000, Caulfield is nevertheless famous as the home of the beautiful Caulfield Racecourse. European settlement in the area commenced in the 1840s, and it was the home of several grand mansions for wealthy Melbournians over the following decades. As a result Caulfield is the location of some stunning early Melbourne residential architecture. The major north-south roads that serve the suburb are Kooyong Road, Hawthorn Road, Bambra Road and Kambrook Road. The major east-west roads are Glen Eira Road, Neerim Road, and Glen Huntly Road. Most Melbournians would be completely unaware that Caulfield South was the site for what was probably Melbourne’s shortest lived railway – The Rosstown Railway. Privately built in the late 19th century by William Murray Ross to serve his sugar beet mill, the line was an abject failure and never entered full service. The former rail corridor and mill site now provide some lovely parkland in this historic suburb.
